Player Registration Fall 2009

WELCOME TO ONLINE PLAYER REGISTRATION - Fall/Winter 2009-10

You must be on a team in order to register. Please go to the bulletin board on our web site to post your info or you can respond to the teams that are looking for players.

The first part of the process is to read the waiver that BC Soccer has on its registration forms. As you are not signing the Player Registration & Insurance Application as was done previously, you must agree with the wording on the form which is set out below -

"I, the applicant, on behalf of myself, members of my family, my heirs, executors, administrators and assignees, hereby forever release, discharge and hold harmless the British Columbia Soccer Association and the representatives and agents for any injury, loss or damage to my person or property howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my taking part in soccer activities, and not withstanding that the same may have contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the British Columbia Soccer Association or their representatives or agents.

I voluntarily agree to abide by the Rules, Regulations and By Laws of the Canadian Soccer Association and its affiliates."

Player Registration - Registration Form

You MUST fill in each category in order to become registered. If you are a returning player then simply enter your user name and password, your info will populate the required areas. If you have forgotten your user name/password click on forgot, it will be sent to the email address we have on file. Check your junk mail as many times it is sent there. If you are unable to register please email info2008@metrowomenssoccer.com. The site does get overloaded and sometimes you are are registered without receiving confirmation.

The first two boxes are Division and Team. You must know your Division in order to find your Team.

If you are uncertain, contact your Coach or Manager. Your email address is mandatory as confirmation of your registration will be sent to this email address within 2 or 3 minutes after you have finished, reviewed and confirmed your registration information. Please check your trash or junk mail if you have not received it.

You should then forward the confirmation to your coach or manager which is your PROOF that you registered.

Your email address will not be given to any outside organization. The cost to register is $35. The cost for a player card is $5. The form is straight forward but make sure you read it carefully so you do not make a mistake.

The following are examples of why you require a Player card.

  • You are a new player to the MWSL and have not played in the League before.
  • You are changing teams 
  • Your card has been lost.
  • Your team has changed names

Instructions:

All Players must register using the Online Registration System. Payment will be made by your team manager up to the start of the Fall/Winter Season. ALL REGISTRATIONS WILL BE DONE AT OUR OFFICE. Players who are not registered will not receive a card nor can they be prepaid.

Individual player registrations after the start of the season - payment must be made when you either have your Player card updated or have a new Player card made up. We only accept cash or cheques. NO CREDIT CARDS OR DEBIT CARDS.

All NEW players must also have a photocopy of their Driver's Licence or Birth Certificate or Passport for proof of who you are and date of birth.

Players who are are NOT 19 years of age at date of registration MUST bring with them a completed Parental Consent Form. PC Forms are located on our Web page under FORMS.

All new teams, teams that changed their name and any player requiring a Player card will say "Yes" to the question "Do you require a Player Card? Cost for a Player card is $5.

Players who come into the League office for a Player card or who MAIL in their individual registration must include or bring in their emailed confirmation of registration with them. Individuals in person who do not have their confirmation will be charged 5$ and players who mail their card in without the online registration will have their team fined the 5$. If you require a player card you must bring a 1"x1" picture of yourself for your card. No Hats or Sunglasses. Photos must be of your head/face and must be clear. Scanned printouts of photos are accepted but please keep in mind this is for photo id so the photos must be a clear and accurate representation of yourself.

REMEMBER TO BRING A CURRENT PHOTOGRAPH OF YOURSELF.
